Those who opt not to contribute will have less rights and less priority to use the gigabit switch as well as rig positioning and will have to pay additional P100 pesos for gigabit switch fee, as agreed by the group during yesterday’s meeting.

i.e. LGPap’s LP fee for the Xmas LP is the usual P300, while a member who has not pitched-in his gigabit switch contribution by Dec. 21 will be P400 (300 LP fee+100). This will go on for the succeeding LP’s that he will join until he reaches SIX (6) LP’s making his gigabit switch contribution equal to P600 (100×6 joined LP’s) as opposed to those who committed and paid P500 only with PRIORITY PRIVILEGES by December 21.

A fully paid member like Vision (P1,500 membership), will only be paying P150 this Xmas LP if he has contributed his commitment before the December 21 deadline. Paying early ALWAYS has its perks and benefits.

A member who has committed, HAS TO BE FULLY PAID (P500) on or before the DEADLINE ON DECEMBER 21 to officially on the FINAL PRIVILEGED PRIORITY LIST.

Should the number of contributing members for the gigabit project reach the maximum LP Lounge slot limit, the rig positions and placement priority will be nullified and the first come first served rule applies. Of course, LP Fee has to be paid first.

The contribution list below IS NOT in the order of Priority but simply a list of contributors.

I will be in Manila & Los Baños, Laguna starting Dec.8-Dec.22 for both business and PLEASURE and i may not be able to log on as much as possible. Timmy, Layan and LGfafs will be coordinating to make this project run as smooth as possible. Payments may be left with Wawa at Blinque. Tama jud si Layan… bale yung i-allocate sana natin na cash for the Exchange gift sa mabubunot mo na manito, we still dish it out but will go to buying a new gigabit switch that was STOLEN so in effect, parang we gave everyone else an exchange gift to everybody else that is and will be VERY VERY useful to all of us for a long long time! Cool!…and not just gave a gift to one person during this season of giving…

Our LAN Parties are one of the things we are most proud of. We’ve always been eager to post things about the recent LP, the pictures, and other stuffs. However it’s always been a task to find info and pictures from our forums.

Sample Scenario:
Some people start a thread about an LP, say something about it and post some pictures. Others comment and appreciate. 3 pages later someone else post their pics of the event.

As a result our stuffs are scattered all over the forums. Fortunately, one of this site’s goals is to organize all that content into 1 easy to reach portal.

So….. here’s how you can contribute:

1. Gather INFO about past LP, and find/collect online pic galleries about it
2. Follow the following format
   - LP Title/Name
   - LP Date
   - Venue
   - Attendance (sa ma remember lang gud)
   - Link to discussion/thread in Forums
   - Links to Pictures and Galleries related to it
   - Links to VIDEOS in youtube or wherever
   - Link to related content (Like LPX, related content are online news and blogs about it)
3. Submit your contribution in the forums as post here

That’s it. Simple as can be!

We need all your help to add more content to our site, specially the ones @ the core meeting. As you can see some pages don’t have anything in them yet. If you have suggestions for pages please do as well.

4. LAN Parties – Everyone can contribute to this one. Since this is a huge (pics, and all) task i’ll add this as another project

We love your suggestions (keep it coming), however lemme remind all that lots can suggest but only few actually contribute actual content, sooo, let’s all help out SIGNIFICANTLY like one big happy family (lol, that rhymed).

After 23 hours of straight and almost non stop labor, finally done with the DCW Website WP Engine w/ Customizations.

This website is intended not only to inform the public of the presence of DCW and its goals, but also to be a QUICK and EASY INFORMATION GATEWAY for all DCW Official Members as well as DCWired.net Forum Members – WHy?

With the forums being a discussion engine, is also used to convey important information, announcements, and such, it’s proven difficult for most members to get the right and updated information, because forums/threads are usually heavy w/ different information, bombarded w/ comments, even topic/thread updates are usually being carried out into later posts w/c renders the original thread outdated and inaccurate, most members will have to “crawl” the pages of the forums just to get updated. With the DCW Website, we eliminate the hassles of getting official information and updates!

There’s still tons of work to be done, feature wise, and MOST SPECIALLY content.

Please contribute if you can.

- moved the forums from base directory, into /forums directory for organization.
- uploaded WP engine, template, and established initial content/categories and modifications.

My Proposal for our LAN PARTY Pics and other stuffs:
We’ve always wanted an all in one gallery for our pictures, and while there are tons of gallery software out there (i can also program one), it no longer seems to be practical to do so because pictures from contributors ( Ren, me, mai ) etc etc, all have our own favored image hosting places (facebook,flicker,multiply,etc), and it’s a horrific task to DOUBLE UPLOAD and MAINTAIN Synchronization between different image hosts.

So my proposal is to DOCUMENT every LP, outing, or whatever we’ve done in posts on our official website, and in that post perhaps have a few selected pictures, and the rest will be simply links to to the different galleries out there. Link to my gallery, to mai’s, and to whoever.
