(Hoping that one day our LAN Party would be THIS BIG!)

Best Thermal Paste Application Methods. Now Explained Very Clearly. Useful steps and very accurate placement of thermalpaste samples shown. the more we discovered that because there are so many different cooling solutions on the market it becomes impossible to give generalized advice to specific situations. Despite this, there is one single principal that holds true in every condition: Under perfect conditions the contact surfaces between the processor and cooler would be perfectly flat and not contain any microscopic pits, which would allow direct contact without the need for Thermal Interface Material. But since we don’t have perfectly flat surfaces, Thermal Material must fill the tiny imperfections. This is where our testing comes into play.

The DCWired Xmas LAN Party was a success! Food was abundant, the killing and leeching spree went on until the wee hours of Sunday morning, rigs of all shapes and sized were whirring silently as their masters were pushing their respective gear to the limit, and in the excitement of it all, Tojo gave out BRAND NEW 9800GT Videocards to those who attended! WOOT!!!
The Xmas Party was so much fun, that it was extended to the following Monday morning. We left the DCWired LP Lounge at already around 7am on the 3rd day, after having a few smokes and bonding with “Lolo Tekkie”, the owner of the house with many cars behind the Blinque building. We found out that he was ALSO playing MODERN WARFARE2 on his 40-inch LCD TV (beat that Jai!) with an ATI Radeon 4770 videocard…soon to be CROSSFIRED upon our recommendation !!! He’s a nice guy din pala. Just dont block his driveway nor litter it with your cigarette butts.

As per yesterday’s meeting, the group has come to the consensus of pushing through with the gigabit switch project as our Christmas gift to ourselves. The contribution for each willing DCWired gay member is P500 pesos. One may also choose to go over P500 if he/she feels generous and thinks this will be for the good of the DCWired community. Those who committed to contribute will have PRIORITY and choice positioning in the Lounge for the upcoming LP’s starting with the Year-ender Grand Xmas LAN Party.
Those who opt not to contribute will have less rights and less priority to use the gigabit switch as well as rig positioning and will have to pay additional P100 pesos for gigabit switch fee, as agreed by the group during yesterday’s meeting.
i.e. LGPap’s LP fee for the Xmas LP is the usual P300, while a member who has not pitched-in his gigabit switch contribution by Dec. 21 will be P400 (300 LP fee+100). This will go on for the succeeding LP’s that he will join until he reaches SIX (6) LP’s making his gigabit switch contribution equal to P600 (100×6 joined LP’s) as opposed to those who committed and paid P500 only with PRIORITY PRIVILEGES by December 21.
A fully paid member like Vision (P1,500 membership), will only be paying P150 this Xmas LP if he has contributed his commitment before the December 21 deadline. Paying early ALWAYS has its perks and benefits.

All DCwired members, may they be gay or drag, will have an emergency meeting TODAY 5pm at Blinque. This is VERY URGENT since we have to settle the issue on the “evolved” Xmas Exchange Gift-turned-gift-for-everyone Gigabit switch. It INVOLVES EVERYONE since this will entail a commitment from the members to chip-in for the switch (our Xmas gift to ourselves). The number of members who will commit will decide the consensus of the final amount to be shared. That amount becomes LESS if more members commit to participate. The other issue to be tackled tomorrow is what to do with those who did not contribute to buy the “gigabit switch gift”? Will they be allowed to use the switch? Will they be allowed to join the LP? Do they have the right to join any DCWired LP’s or USE SOMEBODY ELSE’S RIG to play “singit”?
Voice out your concerns tomorrow during the Emergency DCWired Meeting. The timetable is narrowing since the it takes 7-10 days (or more since there are a lot of holidays and weekends plus the volume of sent parcel during the Xmas season) for the Gigabit switch to arrive from the distributor in Manila, and we have YET to test it and do trial runs (leech all 24 ports while gaming) just in case it bogs down and we will have a FAILED Xmas Year-end LAN Party waiting for an RMA-ed gigabit switch. So please be there tomorrow and finalize! Be involved, be counted…
